We’re looking for a new Business Development Executive.

The purpose of the Business Development Executive role is to assist the Sales Director with the development of relationships and potential partnerships within the target markets. You will be responsible for identifying new clients and developing ongoing relationships and also producing quotations.

 Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the business development activities, whether face to face, or by phone/email to ensure that new business opportunities and relationships are developed with potential clients and partners.
  • Oversee effective implementation of new accounts.
  • Producing and implementing a networking strategy that will lead to the development of an on-going pipeline to reach the target market, aligned to company goals
  • Building the reputation and awareness of Expofreight Logistics Management Ltd within the target market.
  • Identify and establish contact with key decision makers and maintain good levels of communication with all contacts
  • Analysis/Reporting on all leads generated.
  • Make sales calls – cold and warm
  • Make follow up calls
  • Create and manage email campaigns
  • Identify new opportunities and products to grow current revenue within all allocated accounts
  • Maintain complete client satisfaction
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and key news
  • Understand and report on our competitors’ services and offerings

 Who we’re looking for – knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Demonstrable and proven track record of success and experience in building relationships and winning clients in a sales environment to include production of quotations.
  • Excellent communication skills via telephone and face-to-face
  • Self starter with ability to act on own initiative.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills – may include preparation for meetings in own time
  • To be able to adapt and be flexible in approach
  • Tenacious in character

The role is based at Burgess Hill Head Office, however, regular off site meetings and presentations will be required and the ability and willingness to travel is crucial to undertaking this role.

Hours would be 0830 – 1700 Monday to Friday though additional hours may be needed to meet your targets.
