Project Cargo

Due to our global ability and attention to detail, we have handled many projects for our clients.

King Tut, Golden Age of the Pharaohs, exhibition at the O2 in London.

This comprised of a Boeing 747 charter aircraft which we cleared with UK Customs and then with a large quantity of trucks, loaded all freight from London Stansted airport to the O2 and unloaded the equipment into the venue. The shipment then grew with an additional 18 ocean containers which had to be individually cleared with Customs and then moved to the O2 for staggered unloaded. We co-ordinated almost 20 airfreight imports to the venue also plus various courier movements.

Shortly after the London event, we handled a smaller event for King Tut in Vienna.

Diana – a celebration

We have been fortunate to handle the Diana exhibit on a few occasions from arrival in the UK to Althorp House, the Spencer home. We had to handle Customs clearance then a climate controlled vehicle from London Heathrow with a security escort to Althorp. We had a crew at Althorp to unload the truck and move all crated exhibits into the exhibition area. After the exhibition had closed, we returned with a crew and a climate controlled truck and reloaded the exhibits. A security escort followed the truck to Schipol airport (Amsterdam) where the truck was unloaded with our personnel present, loaded to airline pallets and loaded into a Boeing 747 freighter aircraft to the USA.

Moscow Planetarium

Our client was tasked with providing an immersive theatre experience to the Moscow Planetarium. We imported equipment and materials from around the globe to the UK for testing before moving all to Moscow by road and by air. The project was a time sensitive one as the planetarium was scheduled to open to commemorate Yuri Gagarin’s visit to Space.

These are just a selection of our projects. If you have a project, large or small, that you would like Expofreight to handle for you, please contact us on 08456 439 550 or
