Art Shipping

Expofreight is not only an event forwarder but a specialist Art Shipper.

Our experience in this sensitive and fragile area is extensive and includes:-

  • We have handled the round-trip shipping of British galleries to the prestigious SOFA Chicago and New York events since 2002
  • We handle the transportation between three textile events around the UK and Europe for major International textile artists. This work typically originates from the USA, Japan and from around Europe and is transported to the UK, Customs cleared and then displayed at the events. Following the last event, we ship back to origin and handle all Customs clearance procedures
  • Individual artists and curators also contact us to move individual pieces. We have also dealt with collections that have been bequeathed to galleries and charities
  • We have even been involved in the international transportation of the Diana exhibit. This exhibit was valued for Customs purposes at over £12 million but is actually a priceless exhibit

We not only move art works for events but general art moves both in the UK and internationally.

We have been working with ExpoFreight since 2002.  Starting with the Chicago SOFA art fair  we quickly came to rely upon them to handle the shipping and transportation for all the foreign and UK art fairs that we have exhibited at.

They pack and transport fragile ceramics with great care and negotiate the complexities of exporting  artworks, whether that be into the USA, Europe or Japan, in a professional and speedy manner.

We now use them for the longterm storage and transportation of our stock in the UK and would not hesitate to recommend them.
